    Have only been reading a short time but really like the site.  I am a long time folkie, who grew up in Kansas and liked Bob Wills and Leon. Went to school outside of Kansas City and listened to Jay Mac Shann and Mary Lou Williams.  I have had a good wide background with lots of roots.  I have spent 2010 in the company of Pete Seeger’s  3rd edition “Where have all the flowers gone”.

     

    The history is great,  the stories are good, and the songs are worth singing.  I suspect others will find enjoyment.  Publication date was 2009 but hell I am many years behind.  Any way it is my root book recommendation for 2011.  Thanks
