The most recent Crossroads Guitar Festival took place on June 26 at Chicago’s Toyota Park. On November 9, over 4 hours of performances from that event will be released on DVD. The 2010 Crossroads Guitar Festival DVD will feature performances by Albert Lee, BB King, Bert Jansch, Buddy Guy, David Hidalgo and Cesar Rosas of Los Lobos, Derek Trucks, Doyle Bramhall II, Earl Klugh, Eric Clapton, Gary Clark Jr., Hubert Sumlin, James Burton, Jeff Beck, Jimmie Vaughan, Joe Bonamassa, John Mayer, Johnny Winter, Jonny Lang, Keb’ Mo’, Pino Daniele, Robert Cray, Robert Randolph, Sheryl Crow, Susan Tedeschi, Sonny Landreth, Stefan Grossman, Steve Winwood, Vince Gill, Warren Haynes and ZZ Top . The 2 DVD package will also include behind the scenes footage and interviews with many of the artists in attendance.
Proceeds from Crossroads Guitar Festival 2010 benefit The Crossroads Centre in Antigua. The Crossroads facility was founded by Clapton for those seeking treatment for chemical dependence.
