Wakarusa 2013: Just a Week Away!
As you can imagine, I am getting very excited for Wakarusa. I would like to say thank you again to No Depression for making this adventure possible. I cannot wait to share my experiences with all of you.
As the final countdown begins, I am hard at work researching and preparing so I can bring you the best coverage of the event. Through this process, I have stumbled upon several bands and musicians that have impressed me with their skills. It’s amazing how much I have discovered.
In a way, I am being pushed into new territory, at least for me. My personal music tastes are a bit different from the music this site promotes, however, I see this as an opportunity for growth and a chance to expand my musical knowledge and palette. I hope that I can do the same for you, as I write about some of the artists that really inspire me.
A few of the artists I’m looking forward to seeing:
- The Black Crowes
- Galactic
- RJD2
- Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs
- Papadosio
- Holy Ghost Tent Revival
This will, indeed, be quite an adventure, an opening of new horizons and possibilities. I intend to make the most of my time and make the most of this festival. Morning yoga and hoop classes will put me in the proper mindset to receive the most from the performances these musical artists have prepared. My daily blogs will keep me focused and in tune with my purpose at this event. I hope that you will read them and that they will be a source of valuable information and solid inspiration.
If you like, you can keep up with me on Twitter (@MusicalMeds), where I will be posting regular updates. I also look forward to sharing photo albums and videos with you after the event. Those will be posted on my blog’s Facebook and YouTube pages. And, of course, you can always go to my blog site for other updates not posted here.
Over the next week, I will be compiling a playlist with some of my favorite sounds from Wakarusa. I can’t promise I’ll make it to all these shows (the festival experience requires flexibility and a willingness to “go with the flow”), but I can promise to be your eyes and ears throughout this incredible event.
Love, light, and good vibes!
