Behind the Scenes – the Making of “I Love: Tom T. Hall’s Songs of Fox Hollow”
Over several days in June 2010, co-producers Peter Cooper and Eric Brace gathered a bunch of fellow Tom T. Hall fans to re-record Tom T.’s classic 1974 kids’ record. This is a behind-the-scenes look at those sessions. Performers include Patty Griffin, Buddy Miller, Bobby Bare, Tom T. Hall, Duane Eddy, Eric Brace & Last Train Home, Peter Cooper, Jim Lauderdale, Elizabeth Cook, Tim Carroll, Jon Byrd, Gary Bennett, Fayssoux Starling McLean, Tommy Cash, Mark & Mike. Released for Tom T.’s 75th birthday by East Nashville indie label Red Beet Records and the Country Music Hall of Fame.
The CD package is based on original works of art created for the project by East Nashville artist (and denizen of Hatch Show Print) Julie Sola. The 6-fold digipak CD includes a 16-page, full-color lyric booklet. Red Beet has also produced an 8″ x 8″ Coloring Book of Julie’s illustrations, with song lyrics and a CD inside the back cover. Also available: a limited edition Hatch Show Print poster from the May 25th CD Release concert (and Tom T. birthday celebration) at the Country Music Hall of Fame.
Find them at redbeetrecords.com or, if you think you can live without the beautiful song art, it’s available on ITunes.
