Making the rounds this year, I found myself falling head over heals from the debut release from The Hellflowers. The group who have recently released their debut EP, Come on Let’s Dance! has been leaving quite an impression on fans and critics alike. Their familiar and slightly nostalgic punk rock sound brings to the table enticing elements that draw you in with each listen. The title track “Come On Let’s Dance!,” is fun, vibrant and brings the personality of the band to life.
Recorded and produced by Agent Orange’s Dave Klein, and mastered by Jamison Weddle of StudioCat Productions (Red Hot Chili Peppers, Nils Lofgren), The Hellflowers have self produced their music videos, and perform regularly throughout California and the southwest. To boot they have opened for national acts such as Agent Orange, The Dickies, The Muffs and Gene Loves Gezebel. They’re constantly expanding their touring reach and connection with audiences through their raw, live shows. The Hellflowers will be returning to the studio to record a follow up EP to be released before they hit the road to Europe in 2017…and we can’t wait!
