Shooter Jennings Contest and full album stream of Black Ribbons
NOTE: This contest is now closed. Congratulations to our winners: Bill Intense, Gina Thurston, and Stina! Stay tuned into our contests page for more info about ongoing contests.
Whether you love it or hate it, Shooter Jennings’ new album Black Ribbons deserves to be heard. It’s an ambitious concept album with between-track narration by Stephen King who portrays Will ‘o the Wisp, a DJ giving his final radio show before the free speech airwaves are taken over by the government.
Adding to the dynamic undertaking is the elaborate CD packaging – which is a fold-out pop-up book, each containing a limited edition archetype card – and Shooter’s interactive website, which goes along with the album.
Now for the contest part…Take a listen and let us know your thoughts on the record by posting your comments on this blog. Three lucky winners will be chosen at random and each will receive Black Ribbons on vinyl and CD plus an exclusive single for “Don’t Feed The Animals.” (see contest rules below)
If you’re curious to read more about the album check out this comprehensive review by Adam Sheets here on the ND site,
