It’s coming, my favorite time of the year: Music Festival Season. At the top of my list is Wakarusa 2013.
So why should I be the official Wakaursa blogger?
Well let me tell you:
I am kind of a music festival expert. I have been to a few music festivals in my day. I would say I’m slightly obsessed, let’s call it passionate, about festivals.
I’m an eclectic music lover. I love all kinds, shapes and sizes. I’m equally as thrilled to see Of Monsters and Men and Icona Pop. Now, who else can say that?
I believe festivals are the happiest places on earth. Bringing people from all over to celebrate music (and some drinking and food)? Sign me up. The experience is unparalleled. Waking up on the camp grounds and cracking a beer as you watch the sun come up over the tents. Stick a feather in your hair and pull on your favorite cutoffs, it’s time to sway to the music. You’re bound to see some fire arts, bongo drumming and no shoe wearing hippie dancing.
Also, I’m just a great music festival goer in general. Want to make new friend? I’m your girl. Oh hey, who is that girl dancing a jig to Younder Mountain Spring Band? Answer: Me. Or better yet, who is head thumping and jumping at the drop of Zeds Dead? Check.
Don’t you want this person to blog at the festival?
Oh that’s me. At a music festival, naturally. The one on the shoulders.
Lastly, and most importantly, I run my own blog: Helene in Between (heleneinbetween.com). So I guess you could call me a professional blogger (I’m using that term loosely). I have managed to get over 1,200 followers and talk about things like signature dance moves, hair tutorials, and of course, music. And I can guarantee you that A LOT of those people would love to read about Wakarusa 2013 from me.
In short, I’m your girl.
