Fawn Larson’s latest video for her song “Ou Est Ton Coeur” (“Where is your Heart”)
Fawn Larson was born in Lafayette, Louisiana and spent the majority of her early years focused on becoming a world-class harmonica player. Though she still has a particular affinity for the harmonica, she branched out in her early teens when she turned to songwriting as a creative outlet. Larson’s singing and songwriting style is personal yet universal and she has had success with her songs being featured in commercials and movies. Larson has been part of several bands covering styles that range from Americana folk to European-influenced jazz to traditional Cajun to alternative-indie. Pulling all of her experiences together to create her debut solo album, “The Sway,†Larson features 12 of her original songs which will pay homage to the unique collection of styles that she has been a part of. “The Sway†is due to be released in fall 2014.
_____________
“Fawn Larson’s debut solo album, The Sway, demonstrates a mastery of instruments and hauntingly beautiful vocals. Each listen brings with it a new feeling. Some moments reach out and touch you immediately, but others are found after a few listens. Fawn Larson’s vocals range from deep and evocative to bright and fun, and her lyrics transport the listener on their own journey as they experience each song. No one genre truly captures the sound of this singer-songwriter.

An utterly transformative album, Fawn Larson’s music lingers long after the listen.â€
