Bartek Dzikowski - "Traveling Soul†- music of the road.
=======2nd album in works! more info soon on www.bartd.eu !!!====
Dzikowski's music is a journey in a folk-blues style. Songs from the album "Traveling Soul†can be satisfying even for the most discerning listener. This artist reaches down to solid roots and stays away from synthetic modern trends.
Italian blues website BLUESTIME.IT claims that Dzikowski's sound is similar to masters of the American "west coast†style - James Taylor and Carole King.
Belgian ROOTSTIME.BE describes his songs as "...rhythmic, rocking, jazzy, catchy and intrinsically beautiful...â€
Considering all of the above, it is not a surprise that Dzikowski has also been recognized in his motherland – Poland. Some of the most renowned and recognizable polish music journalists - Jan Chojnacki (Polish National Radio Channel 3), Wojciech Mann (Polish National Radio Channel 3), and Przemek Draheim (Polish National Radio PiK / Head of the BLUES.PL portal) - have all spoken highly of the album and mentionned it several times during their respective radio shows. Wojciech Mann, who is also the host of a TV Show on Polish National Television, invited Bartek for an interview and to perform one of his original songs on an episode of the show.
It seems that music from the "Traveling Soul†album can grow on any ground. Scandinavian portal BLUS-FINLAND.COM published a great review of Dzikowski's CD, which read as follows: “Dzikowski proves to be a talented songwriter. Especially the pop/AOR/soft rock songs are full of good ideas. He is a good singer, knowing his vocal potential...you can hear that he is strongly inspired by THE BEATLES. Throughout the whole album you can hear the ghost of "Norwegian Wood†and "When My Guitar Gently Weeps†wavering through. His biggest strength is the skill of building and modeling the moods.â€
