Our new CD, Turn Back A Page, shipped to Folk DJs everywhere in mid-February with the official release date of March 2. The March Folk Radio Airplay Charts are in, and we couldn't be happier. We are listed in every chart: Top Albums (#5), Top Songs (3 songs), Top Artists (#10), and Top Labels (#31). Ruth and Max Bloomquist Kick Off Frauenthal 80th Anniversary Series
Muskegon's Frauenthal Center For the Performing Arts is having it's 80th anniversary this year, and it was our honor to help kick off the celebratory series of events. Ruth and Max Bloomquist have been making music together since they met in 1975 and discovered a common love for practically any music that features acoustic instruments and lyrics that touch the heart. Their bluegrass influenced acoustic Americana is the stuff of rustic romantic dreams. With Ruth’s songwriting and rich alto voice, a guitar, upright bass, and a bit of harmony they make you believe every word of every song. Ruth has showcased as a songwriter at the IBMA World of Bluegrass Conference, and was a winner of the Chris Austin Songwriting Competition at Merlefest in 2003.
