If stories and words strung together in songs act as mile markers for our lives, then songwriters like Jacob Furr give us the rare opportunity to see into the memory of someone else while reminding us of ourselves at the same time.
With a style and directness that is a direct American folk descendant of writers like Gordon Lightfoot, Townes Van Zandt, Joe Pug, and Jim Croce; Jacob Furr has been writing, recording, and performing as a solo act and with his band The Only Road for a over 5 years.
He has released one full length album (The Only Road), and two EP’s (Finches, and Farther Shores) all of which can be found at:
