Win a copy of Van Morrison’s ‘Moondance’ Deluxe Edition
**NOTE: This contest is now closed. Congratulations to Rusha Porscher Lee and Larry Slavens – our winners! And, thanks to everyone who entered.
Van Morrison has been one of the most beloved singer-songwriters since he arrived on the scene with his breakthrough album Moondance. Recorded in the autumn of 1969, Moondance has been inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame and called one of the Greatest Albums of All Time by Rolling Stone.
This Tues., Oct. 22, the fine folks at Warner Brothers Records will release a remastered deluxe edition of Moondance. The reissue will come in three formats – fans can get a single-disc copy of the remastered original album. There’s a 2-CD set featuring that remastered album as well as 11 previously unreleased tracks. Then, there’s the 5-CD Deluxe Edition, which we’d like to give away to two lucky ND community members. (See a full list of what’s included in the Deluxe Edition below.)
To enter, simply comment on this blog post and tell us about your favorite song from Moondance. Why do you love it? What does it remind you of? Did something special happen in your life that the song or this album played a role in? Share your thoughts about Van Morrison and Moondance and we’ll choose two winners from all the entries.
Anyone can enter but due to shipping costs, the prize can only be shipped to a U.S. address.
