I want to say something with some meaning, but I don’t think I can.
Today I want to forget, but I can’t. No, I remember it all. Turning on the TV to see a building burning. Slowly learning exactly what had happened, and then asking how and why.
I could talk about the mosque controversy or the Qua’ran burning in Florida, but I would be getting into religion and politics, two things this day should be above.
So, instead of trying to write something, I’ll simply offer two videos. The first is the opening of a televised 9/11 benefit held (if I recall correctly) a week or so after the attack. The second is a scene from one of the most truly emotional films in years.
Just watch them and remember.
