The Quintessential Paradise: The Ultimate Remedy for Writer’s Block
I have to admit that I am having a difficult time these past few weeks. I could not compose a poem or short story. I could not even write my essay that is due by next week. The creative juices just aren’t flowing. I think it’s a combination of stress during for the event preparation that we did, the constant yakking of my siblings, and the general lack of inspiration. I haven’t felt this way since… ever.
I mean generally, I am quite the prolific writer. I simply write any and everything that comes to mind. There are times that I do have bouts of writer’s block. You know, those days when you don’t feel like writing or have absolutely no idea on what to write about. However, I have never resorted to writing about not writing except on this one. And I am only writing this in the hopes of awakening the hibernating creative individual in me.
I think that what I do need is a much-needed R & R, a change of atmosphere if you will. I mean I could just see myself lounging in a sandy beach whilst sipping a tropical drink. In the midst of the powder white beaches, pristine waters and azure skies I will be seeing panoramic landscapes that will inspire me to write. From the peculiar waves to the bouldering rocks, every sight will trigger flashes of ideas and concepts on my now fried brains and nerves. I will have people at my disposal – all of them dressed in colorful sarong costumes.
I may be getting a head of ahead with the daydreaming. But one thing’s for certain. I need to travel and shake off this lack of inspiration. Ugh.
