The Medicine Show On The Road with Cam Penner and Jon Wood, Rob Ellens Vlog
Cam Penner hails from a Mennonite community in Southern Manitoba, where his parents, the town rebels, ran an illegal roadhouse and his grandfather, a bootlegger, delivered his goods to the rural community bringing much needed remedy. In thirteen year he has produced 5 albums and has worked with and for the homeless. Thirteen seems to be his lucky number, as you can hear from “Thirteen” ( featured here in concert below). In “Trouble and Mercy“ he’s come up with a gem of an album which I must have played every track now on the show (not one bad track on this album) its been a session Ide hoped for for three years or so, all good things are worth waiting for. An other ambition fulfilled, I get the chance to hang, tour, play radio shows and concerts as The Medicine Show goes on the road with Cam Penner and Jon Wood. Here is my Video Log.
Here I get to hosts Cam and side man Jon Wood on The Medicine Show on Loch Broom FM from Scotland’s village of music Ullapool
The focus then moves to “The Tuesday Night Medicine Show Concert” at The Argyll Hotel Ullapool and I have to pack up extra quick and hurry over to the venue where Cam and Jon are in full flow, with a cracking live version of Gravel Road
Then the next night to Fort William for The Nevis Radio Medicine Show
Listen Again to this studio concert recorded for The Nevis Radio Medicine Show Health Happiness Hour.
Heres a live version of Thirteen from The Argyll Hotel Ullapool.
