The Devil Makes Three “All Hail” / One take in Runyon Canyon, Los Angeles
So here it is…my first entry on No Depression. I hope you will enjoy this video I had the chance to do with Northern California, alternative country sensation, The Devil Makes Three.
I caught the trio during a quick trip to LA and we agreed to film some simple acoustic videos of songs from their latest album, “Do Wrong Right”.
I decided to film them in Runyon Canyon. If you know LA, Runyon Canyon is basically the “nature” equivalent to a mall or to the 405 during rush hour. Just replace the cars with runners and dogs and you get it. Kind of counterproductive if you try to hide in nature. But the looks of the I-pod listening hip runners were priceless when our tattoed trio landed there with all their instruments.
Luckily, we found a quiet spot off the beaten trail where the music of Devil Makes Three could be experimented quietly with trees, branches and a couple of dogs as their lucky audience.
The Devil Makes Three is famous for their live show. And this video session is a testament to their professionalism.
So, enough of my poor attempt at writing something interesting, let the images speak and enjoy the Devil Makes Three!
More to come from this session…be on the look out for their video of “The Johnson Family”.
