Midwestern alt-country stalwarts The Roseline, whose blend of wit and melancholic twang has been lauded by NPR’s All Things Considered, are prepping to release their fifth LP, Blood, on October 6th. Today, the band shares a new track from the project, “How To Be Kind.” A breezy, affectionate (and honest) tale of opposites – and how meeting the right person can make a believer out of someone who admittedly didn’t have it in him. Lead singer Colin Halliburton delights in the literary aspects of songwriting and says this song, “is a testament to my girlfriend’s childlike sentimentality, which wore down my rough, cynical edges.’ Stream the tune below.
