SHOW REVIEW: Actor/Singer-songwriter Brian Falduto performs at The Cutting Room NYC
On October 8th, 2018, Brian Falduto strolled onto the stage of The Cutting Room in New York City at his single release party with one mission in mind: entertaining his audience. From his role as Billy, a.k.a. “Fancy Pants,” in School of Rock to his recent years, Brian ventured into the music industry with the 2017 release of his debut acoustic EP, Love One Another.
His new album, Stage Two comes from a place from deep within––sharing his most intimate thoughts and feelings with his fans. At his Cutting Room show, Falduto played the track, Rainy Day; a song that expressed the darkest phase of his life where he conquered many personal obstacles. It was a beautiful song that clearly conveyed his message, and it was great to see Brian so dedicated, articulating his beliefs.
His melodic, upbeat, pop-country sound (as well as his ballads) strongly resonated with his audience in a contagious way––compelling them to chime in while he sang, Kiss You Back, and One More, with Mateo. During the show, the audience leaned in to listen to two readings from, The Velvet Rage: Overcoming the Pain of Growing Up Gay in a Straight Man’s World by Alan Downs, Ph.D.––the book that inspired him to write his album. And just when you thought it couldn’t get any better, Falduto had a surprise: a very talented NYC actress/singer, Ms. Elizabeth Wyld, came on stage to perform her single, “Strange Love.”
Apart from connecting with his fans, Brian is a Life Coach, and has been named one of the “20 Most Influential, Outspoken, and Optimistic Individuals on the Planet,” by PrideLife Magazine––in their 20th Anniversary issue.
Eager to share his experiences with the world, Brian continues to do what he does best––impact lives, one audience at a time. His new album, Stage Two, will impact digital retail sites on November 2nd, 2018.
