Out of this world: It was 40 years ago …
By way of the New York Times, I learned that four decades ago, Pink Floyd were invited by the BBC to jam along to live footage of the lunar landing. Nothing about that heady time seems more remote than the fact that a broadcaster would commission an art-rock band to score such a significant event.
