Music for Social Change
Today I met with Greg Drebert and Holly Bishop from gimmesocialmedia.com to discuss the direction of the website Rainbows-Angels.com. We agreed people should know that I had a series of dreams giving me some songs and a purpose for them. beyond wanting the personal recogniton, I am to ask people to download the CD, share the music on their social media pages and use funds to place glow-in-the-dark rainbows in children’s hospital rooms to help them with their healing process – or just give them comfort.
It is difficult for me to express this, fearing some may find the goal unreachable or even silly or some may dismiss the vision altogether. But, after much thought, I realized I needed to set my fears aside and make the bold move to invite people around the world to see the vision.
I have been writing and publishing a monthly satirical called the Sedona Excentric for the passed 24 years and away from music for even longer. Then, from out of nowhere, came a series of dreams – starting with the music and lyrics to Captured Rainbow, followed by nights of messages about children, hospitals and rainbows.
After writing the song, and then 6 others, I went to a local studio and had the pleasure of working with Gregg Tauriello at Sweet 16 Studio. He co-produced the CD and provided me with some terrific musicians who took the vision to the next level.
Now with the music recorded, I need to find ways to promote the CD and make the rest of the dream come true.
I appreciate everyone’s involvement and support and that soon I will be able to start getting those rainbows into some kid’s hospital rooms to brighten their days and nights.
Peace and Ho’oponopono
That’s all for now . . .
