Mud, Blood & Beer – S/T
The New York based four-piece take some elemental rock riffs and combine them successfully with essential twang and jangle to create an excellent début album, although it treads a familiar alt-country rock path it takes in a wide range of influences on the journey so it never feels overly formulaic and produces the right balance between the raucous rock numbers and the more reflective moments – the thirteen tracks are all originals written by Jess and Jason, here’s one of the gems from the album and personal favourite Fields and Factories
