MMJ at their best

If you want to see MMJ put their absolute best foot forward, come to a show in Jim James’s hometown of Louisville, KY. They played on Halloween (which has become somewhat of a tradition) at the brand new arena here in town and I have never heard Jim James’s voice sound so pure. As American Dad said in an episode last season… the sweet, angelic voice of Jim James was not to be missed! I have seen MMJ play on the waterfront in Louisville and in venues ranging from hole in the wall bars to mid-sized music halls, but I have never heard them as on point as they were in the new mega-arena in downtown Louisville. I was skeptical about seeing them in such a large venue, but they couldn’t have put on a better show. The show was made that much more unbelievable by the back-up instrumentals of the Louisville Youth Orchestra. Its always good to be home!
