MM55 Radar Report – Hunter McKithan and The Offenders
After more than two decades in the live music industry I still enjoy discovering new talent. I have recently become aware of another impressive Texas Band called Hunter McKithan and the Offenders. The band is creating an enormous ground swell of excitement and an impressive fan base throughout the South Central United States.
Living most of my life in the south, I have developed a true appreciation of the great southern rockers like The Allman Brothers Band, The Marshall Tucker Band and Lynyrd Skynyrd. Hunter McKithan and the Offenders combine all the best elements of Southern Rock into a unique and engaging style that has gotten my attention and I feel confident that they will get the attention of countless music fans the world over…
The newest CD project by Hunter McKithan and the Offenders is entitled “Not Broken Yet” released on Lucky Duck Records in January of 2011. On the CD Hunter McKithan lays down incredibly solid and gritty vocals over a rhythm bed of impressive musicianship. From the title track “Not Broken Yet” to the closing track “Quarters” this CD grabs the listener like an aggressive Pitbull and doesn’t let go until the music stops. This is Southern Rock at It’s Best.
