    I shot the Sadies at the Doug FIr in Portland the night before I left for Europe. Yes, like 6 hours before I had to be on a plane for a huuuuuuge trip. I MEAN REALLY – WHO CAN RESIST THE SADIES FOR GOD’S SAKE??? Not me. Not a huge heap of my friends. It was a fine going away party. They are all amazing, gifted, expressive musicians. Go see them. They burn your socks off. Quote mid-show: “I sure hope that bass has a woman’s name!”

    OK, now I can immerse in Pickathon in good conscience knowing the Sadies have gotten at least a crumb of their due here.
