Grand Ole Opry to reopen October 1
That’s the good news. After $17 million in renovations including new power and mechanical systems, dressing rooms, curtain and stage the Opry itself will reopen. Gaylord’s other properties including the Opryland mall and hotel are estimated cost in the neighborhood of $200 million to rebuild and will reopen later.

The bad news is that over 1700 workers are due to be laid off starting next week. Ouch.
