early kid rock album discovered and sold for $250,000 on eBay last week
Well it’s not April Fools Day and I don’t want the man to come after me with a plate of waffles so maybe I should just fess up and tell you out front this isn’t Kid Rock. And the early album wasn’t discovered. Nor did it sell on eBay last week for neither a dime nor a dollar. But darn…this sure looks like him to me. No?
So this was going to be a post about the world’s worst record album covers.
But when I went to Google “worst album covers, I got over 195,000 hits. And there were dozens and dozens of blogs dedicated to the lost art of…well…art, I guess.
Well it seemed like such a novel approach but obviously it’s not. Been done before. And sure as heck a lot better than me. Some people take this stuff very seriously. Almost scholarly.
Some of these covers come up over and over. Like this one on the left. It seems that for some reason “He” or “She” doesn’t seem to have such a good eye when it comes to gospel music.
And bad hair days are another problem I’ve seen repeated over and over and over…
And while some artists tout their faith…others share their preferences.
As you can see, many artists and photographers love color…while others prefer the minimalist look of black and white.
The real reason for this post? I’m playing around with this Ning photo options box and I wanted to see what it looked like. Judging by the last cover on the left…I came up short.
