Couch by Couchwest Day 6 Highlights
We are a bit overwhelmed at the Couch by Couchwest offices, but here is our belated Day 6 Highlights. Lots of excitement on Friday at CXCW.
Robert Earl Reed with Everett Boyd performed an ode to West Virginia’s most infamous county with “Boone County Thunder.”
Later Hezekiah Jones performed a wonderful cover of Chris Bathgate’s “Last Parade on Ann Street.” Jones’s CDs are a part of our contest sponsored by Yer Bird Records.
Of course it wouldn’t be a day of CXCW without some critters. Here’s Otis from Maryland, still zonked out on the couch.
At this point let’s post some of the awesome performances of the day. We wish we could post them all, but go to the site to see much more. Mike Gangloff of The Black Twig Pickers sawed some fiddle under a bridge in Ballymahon, Ireland.
Jimbo Mathus played sweet new song called Loveseat performed ON a loveseat.
Immediately after that, in a twofer of awesome, former Drive-By Trucker Shonna Tucker performed a cover of Lonely Women Make Good Lovers. Surely the highlight of the day.
We ended the day with a great song from San Francisco’s Hang Jones.
We can assure you that tomorrow’s highlights will be even better. If you weren’t there to catch it, go to www.couchbycouchwest.com
