Buffalo Springfield to Reunite at Bridge School Benefit
(Jambands.com) 1960s legends Buffalo Springfield will reunite for two shows at Neil Young’s annual Bridge School Benefit Concert. The group will perform each night of the charity gig, which is scheduled to take place at Mountain View, CA’s Shoreline Amphitheater on October 23 and 24. The band’s lineup will feature classic members Neil Young, Stephen Stills, Richie Furay and Jim Messina. The musicians have not publicly performed together as Buffalo Springfield since 1968.
In addition, each day of the benefit shows will feature a performance by Young’s longtime protégés Pearl Jam. These shows will mark the band’s 20th anniversary. Other benefit highlights include a pairing of Merle Haggard and Kris Kristofferson, a collaboration between Jackson Browne and David Lindley and T-Bone Burnett’s Speaking Clock Revue featuring Elton John, Leon Russell, Elvis Costello, Ralph Stanley, Neko Case and Jeff Bridges.
