Hello everyone. I am constantly surprised by the amount of resources there are on the net for Americana, Alt Country, Singer Songwriter style music. When I came across No Depression (I can’t even remember how now.. it was a long train of links and clicks) I signed up straight away. I’m still getting used to the format and have no idea how many people actually use it, but here I am.
A bit about me. I’m a Singer/Songwriter from the UK, I live in Barcelona Spain and I just released my debut album as a solo artist. My album was a real labour of love. I did almost everything including recording, mixing, writing, arranging, producing, performing most instruments and all vocals.. damn I even did the CD design! All the songs are mine except one stripped down acoustic version of an 80’s pop song! I recorded it in the spare room in my flat, so as you can see, it has been a real D.I.Y. solo effort.
The album is now out, for sale on iTunes, CD Baby and all the usual places and I’m surpirsed by the positive reaction it’s getting. It was featured as Album Of The Week on BBC RADIO LONDON, was featured in the Staff Picks section on CD Baby. I just did an interview for Country Fried Rock and I’m getting a steady stream of fans writing me some very positive feedback. All this and it’s only been out 3 weeks.
So as you can tell, I’m a happy man and I hope some of you will dig the album too.
