Good afternoon. and thanks for the great welcome. I have been meaning to join for a while, finally did it. I am very active with WMNF Radio, Tampa. WMNF just added a 2 hour strip(Monday-Friday) Americana music called "traffic jam"- drive time. So I will totally appreciate all NoDepression has to offer. - Peace, Lindalu
Thanks for the welcome...been aware of No Depression since the 90's. Arty Hill, who I am looking forward to seeing 2/16, made me aware of the site.
Always glad to hear about any "dance hall" style concerts in the DC metro. The only thing I miss about Dallas in the country station in Plano if it still exists and "Sons of Hermann Hall".
Thanks Lucca. What a great group of knowledgeable, likeminded people and forum for discussion. I don't know if I went about my first post correctly. I posted a song I wrote and since it was about Townes Van Zandt, I started a discussion item in the TVZ group to bring it to that groups attention. One status line said I joined the group , another status said I posted a song, another status said I started a discussion, another status said my song was featured... Is that how it should work? How can I get an overview that drings all the pieces together for me. Thanks!
Good to be here. I've been a Gram fan for a very long time now, even to the point that I have a bunch of bootleg live sessions of the Fallen Angels. Sound quality not great, but Gram's there (and so is Emmy, of course).
No sweat Lucca. It's funny, a lot of the artists from Australia mentioned on this site are bands we've either played with or are friends with. It's kinda a virtual home away from home.
Lucca, sorry for the delay in responding to your welcome. I'm passionate about exploring history, and roots music has a lot of insights to offer in my quest to better understand, and celebrate, the noble and sometimes baser aspects of the human experience. I'm delighted to be part of this community. Ger
Thanks, Lucca. Found you re: "Beyond Borders" and appreciate what you're doing here, peace in 2013! Hoping someone jumps on buying the Mockingbird in Staunton real soon- such a great venue, Fingers crossed.
Thanks Lucca. Looking forward to posting and hearing from others. Am in the process of booking May Erlewine (Seth and May) for a February show at The Coffeehouse at All Saints in East Lansing, Michigan!

Absolutely Lucca...that's what it's all about, sharing experiences good and bad, and learning something at the same time!!

I liked No Depression in print and am awfully glad to be back with the music online.
Found you through http://www.nodepression.com/profiles/blogs/cayamo-s-sixth-annual-once-in-a-lifetime-experience post when searching for photos of the trip. It was a great time. Thanks for the welcome.
