I appreciate the thanks. Awesome site, I have been a reader previously, and like to throw a comment in every so often. I am a part-time musician and music journalist with San Diego Troubadour, an roots/alternative newspaper (I write quite a few CD reviews there, and used to on Turbula.com) and I recognize some of my fellow contributors among the folks postng here. It's good to see that good music is still around, even if a bit underground.

Amongst your many members I notice the name of Barry Mazor with whom, in decades passed, I used to correspond with.

I do admire the breadth of topic and depth of knowledge of those here. My musical tastes are pretty one dimensional - blues, R&B and gospel and have been  since 1962. I may be a fish out of water, but that remains to be seen.

I'm really feeling good about this opportunity to share with folks who love the kind of music I do.  There's not that many in the mountains of southwest Virginia, believe me.  We have been up here for 20 years this December, and we are headed back to good ole Dallas, Texas in May of next year.  The Texas songwriters are the ones dearest to my heart, and we are hoping to get a chance to see some of them "live" again.
