Sasquatch Festival Announces 2010 Lineup

Being from Seattle, Sasquatch is the music festival in my neck of the woods that I look forward to and attend each Memorial day weekend. If the great music isn't enough the gorgeous setting alone is worth a visit. (An interesting side note: Adam Zacks the creator and curator of Sasquatch is also the producer and co-curator of the No Depression music festival.)

We've been eagerly awaiting the Sasquatch lineup announcement for months at our house and without further ado, here it is!

From the press release:

Sasquatch! returns to The Gorge in Quincy, WA May 29-31 (Memorial Day Weekend) following early sellouts and rave reviews the past several years. Festival tickets are available at sasquatchfestival.com and Ticketmaster.com. Known for its bucolic location as well as its programming zeitgeist, the Sasquatch! Festival marks its ninth year at The Gorge, a concert venue built in the Columbia River Gorge and offering spectacular views of the river canyon. Tickets go on sale Saturday February 20 at 10 A.M. PST.

Festival creator Adam Zacks founded Sasquatch! in 2002 with the aim of constructing an event that catered to the eclectic tastes of voracious music enthusiasts. Zacks personally curates the lineups for each Sasquatch! Festival, hand-picking the diverse array of artists. “It’s our goal each year to present a fresh lineup that reflects the independent spirit of the Pacific Northwest, respects the artists and audience, and celebrates the grandeur of The Gorge.”

Not in my backyard...so I almost didn't bother to look. But that picture pulled me in. And then as I slowly scrolled down reading the list of performers it didn't stop...they kept coming and coming and coming. Three day festival? It seems like it should last a month.

Three days, three music stages and a DJ tent and comedy tent. It's a lot to try and take in.

Will be very jealous of the Pacific Northwest region this Memorial Day weekend. Mumford & Sons, The National, Freelance Whales, Middle East, Laura Marling... Hope everyone has a great time (and sunny weather!)
