Rosie had played the very same space just one week before on her way north to a swing through southwestern Canada. She and her band liked it so well that they asked if they could stop on the way south just a week later and play again. So, Monday July 26, they played a 2 hour happy hour show. There were returnees from the week before and others, like me, who had missed her prior and were delighted to have the chance to see this rockabilly queen strut her stuff once more. The cast she was saddled with is gone, and you'd never know from her set that she's just gotten back into playing. There were several couples cutting a rug to the dance tunes, much to the delight of the performers and audience alike. Every weeknight at 6pm should feel this good. AFter the show, Rosie was psyched to get some fancy pants americana style henna laid on her by Wendy from Roving Horse Henna, www.rovinghorse.com. Hey Rosie - how'd that winged guitar come out?

Rosie's also doing a quick return to the SF Bay Area with a recently added show at the Knockout in the Mission slated for tomorrow night (Sunday Aug. 1st) at 10 PM. One of our best hillbilly bands, the B Stars are opening, so it looks like a great night in the Mission!
