Petty & Heartbreakers Postpone Cleveland

There is no joy in the city by Lake Erie today as Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers postpone tonight’s gig.

The reason for tonight’s postponement dates back to the band’s Sunday night gig in St. Louis when the area’s infamous summer humidity coupled with extreme temperatures caused guitarist Mike Campbell to faint on stage. Although Campbell wasn’t injured, his doctors did advise him to take a few days off, resulting in the postponement of tonight’s gig at the Blossom Music Center near Cleveland.

Live Nation says it will announce a new date soon and that tickets for tonight’s show will be honored at the rescheduled concert. The next scheduled Petty & The Heartbreakers show is July 22 in Michigan at the Palace of Auburn Hills north of Detroit.

If you can't take the heat, get off the stage!
