Jimbo Mathus's music over the years has mixed blues, country, gospel, and soul. His current project, Jimbo Mathus and the Tri-State Coalition, is best described as "the Rolling Stones meets Hank Williams."

Music in the Hall is a monthly show filmed in Oxford, MS. It takes place in the oldest building on the historic Oxford Square. The big hallway of an office space (with amazing acoustics) is cleared and converted into a listening room with capacity just under 100, creating a intimate setting perfect for capturing high quality video and audio. A DVD of each show, usually featuring three acts, is produced and sold at MusicInTheHall.com. MITH is approaching its one year anniversary in November.
