Interview With Guy Clark

Well we’re only a couple of weeks away from the release of Guy Clark’s new CD which comes out on September 22nd so I thought I’d post an archive interview I did with him. He was touring with Joe Ely, Lyle Lovett and John Hiatt at the time (2004) and we just sat in his hotel room over coffee and cigarettes and talked about songs and how to write ‘em. I asked him how he wrote some of his corkers and also what made Townes such a great songwriter. I hope you enjoy listening to it as much as I did doing it.
