Somewhere in Germany. 1975, I was 13, spent my pocket-money and the band was "Uriah Heep". They appeared 1 hour late and played only 35 Minutes.

Emmylou Harris interview July 19, 2011

Posted with permission from The A.V. Club

by Sam Adams July 19, 2011

Although Emmylou Harris still lives in Nashville and has shared a stage or a microphone with just about all the country singers worth their cowboy boots, she’s never been country through and through. Her voice has a mournful quality that reaches back before the West was won, a sound that’s come to the fore over the last couple of decades as she’s definitively departed from the land of fiddles… Continue

Garrison Keillor

March 18, 2011

A note from Garrison on reports he is retiring in the spring of 2013.

This morning a reporter rang me up, as they say here, to ask if I am retiring in the spring of 2013, as reported in the papers. There isn't a simple answer to that. The simple fact is that mortality is a…

Russ,  Thanks for the heads up about her Champaign concert. My son goes to school there, so he grabbed me a ticket today. I'm also going to the Ryman on the 21st for her Grand Ole Opry 20th Anniversary concert. Two shows in seven days...sweet.
