the one that got away

before 2012 gets too far behind us i have to point out a band that released a great album that largely went unnoticed. the band is called simply-"company" and the release is-"dear america".  beautiful melodic songs that bring to mind- band of horses and the shins. if that is up your alley be sure to give this a listen. i meant to have it on my best of 2012 list and of course forgot. i believe cd baby has it and probably itunes as well.

Thanks, Norm. I do know Maria McKee appeared on this year's album by former Lone Justice bassist Marvin Etzioni. The album is Marvin Country! and she sings harmony on "You Possess Me." Would also love to hear more from her.
