david knishkowy commented on Easy Ed's blog post 'John Sebastian has stories he can tell'
I saw John opening for Bonnie Raitt in New London, CT about 24 years ago. At that point, he had little, if any, voice left. I hope you can tell me that he's back in form, since his music meant so much to me in my younger days.

david knishkowy commented on Adam Sheets's blog post 'It's a Paul Simon kind of day: some brief observations on "Bleecker Street"'
I remember with fondness spending all of $3.00 or less when Weds. Morning came out. Loved it then, love it now. Some of the first songs I learned to play came from that album. But Bleeker Street is indeed the most haunting tune, returning to my mind…

Brooklyn (and the rest of New York's) musical community is pretty wild and far reaching, and it's roots scene is a vibrant part of that. Keep us and fellow roots fans up to date with what's happening and what's playing in Brooklyn/NYC.

Responding to Will James, 6/12/10 -- I agree! When I mentioned Danko, It Makes No Difference was the first song I had in mind.

Re Jerry Withrow's comment: These clever lines must be scripted--Bert also thanked the Connecticut crowd for refraining from throwing things! Where's the spontaneity these days?

I saw them in Wallingford, CT and I'm not sure about the wisdom of having Bert Jansch as opener. Jansch is brilliant, and is probably my favorite guitarist, but the fans were there for Young and, in fact, most didn't even know who Jansch…
