Better To Bend

There is a folk forum in Oak Center Minnesota. It's arguably one of the best folk music listening houses in the Country. Recently I got to do a set there. I got to do a set there. I opened for a band called, "The Chris Silver Band". This is one of…

First Day Of My Life

My take on this popular tune. I was asked to learn it for a wedding, so I did and I like the song so much I figured I do a video and keep it.

Remembered not forgotten

Here’s a funny story...more of a giggle “Ha!” than a laugh factory, but it’s still a worthy tale none the less. Not to mention it’s all true, every bit of it I know. I was there. When I was young and found out that my grandfather was in WWII I asked him what he did. He told me that he was a flier in the Pacific theatre, but he never wanted to elaborate. Told me that those things were best forgotten, and that Grandma’d have his hide if he told me.What was I going to say? First off it’s my grandpa…See More

A Bus Ride

A giant of an individual once shared a seat on the bus with me. We sat in silence and watched the road pass by. I had the aisle seat. I have forgotten where I was going now yet I distinctly remember the smell of the bus, the bag lady sitting next to us, and the colors of the city I was in.

The person who was sitting next to me had brown eyes and hair. They seemed to be of working class origins I noticed the roughness of the hand that shook mine. It was much like mine. At a stoplight… Continue

Winter & Spring

Listen!

I think you will hear me if you push the 'listen' part.

Lately I've found myself almost obsessed with Honey Bee's. I mean I wrote a song called The Honey Bee Way,I hear other songs about them, see them in stores, and hear other folks talking

about them. Bee's!!! I love them. I think what's really happening is that I'm getting over-anxious for Winter to finally finish and Spring to get going.

I live in Minnesota Winter is really Winter here it was a… Continue

Minimizing

Howdy Folks

I think it's been last year since I wrote anything. Okay I know

that's a bad joke. You might even say it's old as the hills. I

convince me to go out and visit. That I'd love it and I think

he's right. I'd love to go and visit him; although,

I must admit to a little fear.

What's the fear about? Not coming back of course I've been

in the mood to move lately.

Big… Continue
