Black Keys: The Real Deal

I saw the Black Keys Sunday night in Grand Rapids Michigan.  9000 people showed up in all age ranges.  The Black Keys are an Anthropologic Blues Based Rock Band.  I say that because just like where Blues is based, you can hear the past.  However you can also hear the present angst of Akron as the promise of the future of music.  This makes for the Anthropology of a music that is growing from the past and headed to the future.  Sprinkled out most of their works are all three times represented…

Yes that hammond was made of wood.

If your friend needs any more help with any Polish information, feel free to ask :).

Is he a musician?

I'll ask my hammond player, all I know it's quite old, and that it's a hammond :).

I think it's quite strong as for a country of this size.

Look at the list of the festivals:

http://www.bluesyou.com/pl_festivlas.html

We have some good blues journalists that promote blues quite well.

"Chicago is the BEST place in the USA for Blues"

Well it looks like you live in a right place :), I envy you :)!

Cheers

I do find it a little bit strange to think of Bowie's 'Ziggy' album creating some major social change in the States.  Er... where?  In other pop stars feeling a greater need to play 'dress-up' perhaps.  However, tell that to, say, The Allman Bros. or Little Feat.

Yes, I had heard about Levon. Very sad days indeed. Good thing the universe keeps producing new musicians to take care of us! Nice Biscuit logo ;-) Hope to get back there this year.

Hello, Tommy - I can't say that I know of any Zep cover bands to recommend; strangely, I never really thought of it before but I don't believe I have ever caught one live.  I have subsisted on old videos for so long it has become habit.  Let me know what you find out.  Charlie
