News On The Divorcees Front - All Good, People!

Hi Folks,Well, it's been an exciting couple of months here in Divorcees-land!This week, our drummer-at-arms Brock Gallant and his lovely wife Melanie welcomed their son Everett into the world. Something tells us a drumming dynasty has been born. It's no secret to many Divorcees fans that our not-so-secret weapon in the band is our absolutely…See More

Not gracing our dramatically compressed airwaves were folk and its…See More

A Moment Of Forever On The Lost Highway

Well, there are some things in this world that are just a sparkling, crystalline gift to behold, buzzin' Over You Again and again; highways to get lost on, pleasant rings of smoke finding their way out that crack in the driver's side, maybe a touch of tex-mex gypsy guitar wandering in between from the confines of a well worn cd player. They're Moments Of Forever, caught between Takin' On Water amongst the stone and green expanse - a little bit of this, a little bit of that, a zig, a zag, and…See More

A Special ECMA Thank You From TurTle

(This is from Denis "TurTle" Arsenault - a special thanks for winning this year's ECMA Country Album Of The Year)

Thank you, as a sentiment, doesn't cut it when I try to express the gratitude I feel towards all the people who were an integral part of making Last of The Freemen a reality. The 10 days I spent at the Tragically Hip's Bathouse studio, making this record with Josh Finlayson, Aaron Holmberg, Michael Johnston, Angela Desveaux, Alex Madsen, Brock Gallant, Danny Roy, Jason… Continue

The Divorcees Win Another ECMA!

Well, I can't believe it. No wait. I can. There's a little Seagull Pewter trophy shaped like a treble clef sitting on my mantlepeice.

The Divorcees, recently back from The East Coast Music Awards, have won an award for Country Album Of The Year 2010 for our latest release, "Last Of The Free Men".

It's wonderful to receive one of these awards, due in large part to the fact that many East Coast Music Association delegates are… Continue
