Shelia has been playing guitar, singing, and entertaining in public since she was 13 years old. While growing up, she performed every weekend in a country band with her father. She’s had her own bands and taken the stage from coast-to-coast.... from a Destin-Florida beach club to Bally’s in Vegas. In the early 90s, she was part of a successful female duo called “Heart Over Mind” who charmed audiences out in California, Nevada, and Arizona and later in the Southeast areas. This successful female duo also took First Place in a True Value Hardware/GMC Truck Country Showdown competition in Arizona during this time.
For the past 5-6 years Shelia has been focusing on her songwriting and currently pitches to Major and Indie labels and artists. She has also been a mentor to several young, up-and-coming female artists. Her voice has been described as “Raw Silk.” She’s also not afraid to sing a “male” song, and she has written many of them. If she’s out doing cover tunes, you might just hear her do “Ring of Fire” by Johnny Cash or “Little Sister” by Elvis. She said she just simply loves to Twang AND Rock the House.
Shelia recently served as Vice-President of the Georgia Music Industry Association (GMIA).
