Drew Nelson and the characters of Tilt-A-Whirl

Drew Nelson recently released his Red House debut, Tilt-A-Whirl.  A crossroads between Springsteen roots-rock and Nanci Griffith storytelling, the record gives a fresh voice to tough times and resilient characters.  We asked him to take some time and answer a few questions so you could get to know bit more about him and the songs from Tilt-A-Whirl.

A lot of your songs are character driven. Is there a specific…

Listen Up!

While music seems to be swirling everywhere in the atmosphere creating a background to everything we do it’s hard to slow down and just listen to music.  Most of us listen to our favorite tunesmiths as we’re cleaning the house, working in the garage, eating, working out or just about anything.  There’s nothing wrong with that, but it’s rare to completely stop what you’re doing and just listen to the music.  Does anyone JUST listen to music?

It's been a busy fall folks!

Hey No Depression!

It's been a while since my last post, but we've been swamped with new releases this fall including three coming out next Tuesday! Thanks for accepting my friend request-give my songs a listen if you get a chance (I know, everybody wants you to listen to their stuff). I would be forever grateful, though...honest. Think of it as a humanitarian act !

I'm delighted to say Eliza Gilkyson is opening up the Belladrum Festival Tartan Heart Fringe in Fortwilliam on July 24rth.

Her first ever UK dates were in the Highlands we love Eliza here.

This is the best two weeks of the year to be in the Highlands.
Check out our page, extraordinary gigs in extraordinary venues.
