"Steve Earle and Lucinda write some good songs, but I don't think they have the breadth that Rodney does, not even in the conversation. I don't know, he's just never been a guy that was promoted very well..."
"To say that Neil is standing still is quite wrong. In the last year, he issued a record of re-worked old time songs -- "Americana" and an album with Crazy Horse on which they explore perhaps well-trod musical ground but the stories…"
"@Ryan, he does sell live recordings on his website, I'd suggest giving them a listen as well....his live shows are unparalleled - close your eyes and you'll swear there are 2 or 3 guitarists on stage!
I don't know that there is…"
"Nice review Charlie, can't wait to hear it....but why do I look forward to a Richard Thompson release and except for a rare listen on the radio, rarely put on a Dylan or Young LP? He's fresh, he's not standing still....he's…"
"That is surprising, but being a Sunday night probably kept some folks at home...last time I was in Nashville we went to a converted Church with a band playing that was a BYOB joint, had a good time, although it took forever to find a package store,…"
"Amos I remember I saved a search on ebay a few years back and it never came up, I'll have to try UK's version...you'd think as well as this was produced one of the re-issue companies would look into Wrecking Ball, Lord knows…"
"Dammit Amos, now I have to search for the Vinyl!!! Lucky enough to see her on the Wrecking Ball tour with Buddy, wish I could have seen her with the recording band as I know they played an industry event in Colorado...great review, thanks!"
"He's been doing this show for years...saw him at the Park West night club in chicago maybe 10 years ago, and the best part was they were recording it for re-broadcast later, it's even better every time I listen to it, pure genius!"
"I just want to let you know that Bruce Robison & Kelly Willis will be performing at the Central Performin Arts Center in DeWitt, IA, at 7 p.m. on Saturday, October 15. Tickets are available at www.midwestix.com. This is the second…"
To say that Neil is standing still is quite wrong. In the last year, he issued a record of re-worked old time songs -- "Americana" and an album with Crazy Horse on which they explore perhaps well-trod musical ground but the stories are enticing...He has done the folk, rock, country rock, hard rock, rockabilly, even electronic (Trans) thing...He is about to embark on a tour of Australia and enjoys the admiration of fellow musicians, critics, and fans...Go back to Prairie Wind (it's on youtube) and tell me those aren't wonderful songs...oh, yeah, he did a solo electric tour, Le Noise, too, something I can't ever remember another artist doing...He's also trying to return the "fullness" to our listening experience with a device called a "Pono" (Hawaiian for righteous) that gives the listener a broader spectrum of the actual music that the performers recorded. Standing still? I think not. And don't let me get started on Bob...it's easy to criticise, dude...methinks you need to leave your comfy musical confines and listen more to the grand masters of 20th century American song -- they'll be heralded in future centuries as songsmiths, performers, and prodigious influences on millions...

Yep. I tried to operate as a music web site with paid editors and writers but there was no business model to support that so after blowing through several thousand dollars trying to keep that alive I transitioned it to this community site.
