just listening to the radio and the jayhawks, "waiting for the sun" came on and that got me thinking... i remember the first time i heard/saw the video... mtv was making such a big deal about it at the time and so i thought... "man, this should be super awesome!" i was twenty and heavy into lou reed and the velvet underground... and miracle legion... and for whatever reason i dismissed the sound as way too country and too less rock and roll.

i can't remember the last time i blogged here... the vanishing point approaches sooner than one would think. my band, june star has become my job and i no longer teach. anyone reading this probably didn't know those facts or the many more facts that have culminated into my persona... but that's okay, apparently we have a lot of time in catching up.
