Hello John - I enjoyed stopping in and listening to your songs. Great writing and singing. "Grapes Of Wrath" really stands out and must have taken a sustained effort to shape. It covers a lot of territory very effectively. I'll probably be humming bits of "Last Stop Gas Station" and "Hi De Hi (Lo De Lo)" for days to come. All the best with your current work.

John Myles replied to T Hanssen's discussion 'How much politics do you like in your music?'
If there is wit, sardonic humor, compassion expressed skillfully in the music and good natured banter it is cool. I mean, hey, if you can't shake your fist at the establishment in your music, or present your point of view in your lyrics…

I live in Brooklyn 6 months out of the year. Very interested in any roots/americana happening in the area. Also have a bit of my own original material here on No Depression.....Cheers, John Myles

Brooklyn/New York

Brooklyn (and the rest of New York's) musical community is pretty wild and far reaching, and it's roots scene is a vibrant part of that. Keep us and fellow roots fans up to date with what's happening and what's playing in Brooklyn/NYC.

John Myles replied to T Hanssen's discussion 'What is your favorite album this week?'
I have been listening to "Modern Times". Bob Dylan hit some new streams in this CD. Has a unique combination of Americana, Blues and some mellow swing infused folk. Just doin it for me Thas All! JM
