Billie Hockett was a mainstay of the Boston-area Celtic community. I had the pleasure of assisting her with several Music for Robin concerts she produced at the Emerson Umbrella in Concord and St. John's Methodist Church in Watertown. She was probably best known to many for her untiring work producing a weekly events listing (the 2/22/10 edition below is reproduced below).

Worcester community radio WCUW (91.3fm and streaming at wcuw.org) is a Joe Val Bluegrass Festival partner (February 18-20, 2011 at the Sheraton hotel in Framingham, MA). "In the Tradition" is produced every Tuesday 5-8pm eastern. On 2/8 & 2/15 during the 7-8pm hour Joe Val musicians will be featured.
