You really did do a fine job, Mr. Barr. You made him sound like a reasonable and intelligent artist -- and that's some fancy-ass writing to pull off a trick like that. No mean feat. Very well done.

TenLayers said… - Sorry, just seeing this. Nope, he didn't show up. But AL's show was off the fucking hook. There were quite a few of his San Francisco friends in the audience, some of whom he wrote about in his songs as well some family members. I think he turned it up a notch because of them. At one point I look down at the floor at my feet and thought where were this drops of liquid coming from and I realized they were drops of own sweat coming off my face from dancing my ass off.
