DavidOlney.comHis new EP series – “David Olney Presents: FILM NOIR” – is scheduled to be released May 24th on Deadbeet Records. The thematic “mini-album”, while musically different from the edgy folk/blues people associate with him, is still populated with colorful Olney-esque characters and storytelling.  ”FILM NOIR” is the first in a projected series of releases Olney plans to put out over the next several years.

In addition to music, David Olney is a published author with a short story appearing in the “Amplified” (2009) book released by Melville House Publishing (a division of Random House). David has become synonymous with Classic Poetry as new fans have flocked to several of his stellar video recitations posted on YouTube, such as Coleridge’s “Kubla Kahn”; Brownlng’s “My Last Dutchess” and others. In late 2009, David began a weekly live interactive broadcast on Ustream.tv, sharing music, songwriting insight, good humor and wild stories.

Hey Dave,

I remember seeing you and the X-Rays way back when in Nashville, the early 80s.  Was it Cantrell's?  Can't remember.  Nice to hear you again!
